Welcome to
Lake Canyon Yacht Club
The Lake Canyon Yacht Club was chartered in 1967
with a primary focus on sailing, as well as active participation in the LCYC volunteer-based community. It is located on the north shore of Canyon Lake, Texas about 45 miles north of San Antonio and 50 miles south of Austin. The club facilities occupy 18 acres of land on a bluff overlooking the deep 8000 acre lake.
The club's amenities include a 144 slip waterfront with ample docking space for dry sailed boats and visitors participating in regattas, a two lane launching ramp, dry storage for over 150 boats, a clubhouse with a party deck, swimming pool, and a boat rigging tower for stepping and unstepping masts. The Lake Canyon Yacht Club supports an active racing program which includes J-22, Catalina 22, Flying Scot, Sunfish, Opti, PHRF, Portsmouth and Multi-hull fleets. Not to be missed is our annual Wurstfest Regatta, an LCYC signature event since 1968.
Our club is also pleased to be connected with the Canyon Lake Sailing Foundation, a non profit organization and registered with the State of Texas as a 501(C)3 corporation. The Foundation's charter is to support youth sailing and water safety. More details can be found on the Youth Sailing page.

Marina Relocation Project

The LCYC Marina Relocation Project is now underway and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by the end of February. Marine Development, Inc. is the contractor; on-site installation began on January 18. The project involves moving all of the slips on B dock and will result in the entire marina residing in the deepest water which LCYC is entitled to occupy.Thirty eight newly constructed slips will replace the older section of B dock which has experienced numerous structural failures. All of the boat owners on B dock have been notified and given details about upcoming moves. The marina will be useable but congested between mid January and the end of February. Your patience during this time will be appreciated.
